Co-founder & creative director

MERCEDES DIAZ

Venezuelan architect and artist. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a creative path—design has always been her passion. She found inspiration in her grandmother, Paula Diaz, who was a fashion designer, and her cousin, Rafael Herrera, whose architectural models fascinated her while she was still in school.

Mercedes earned her degree in Architecture (Venezuela, 2016) and moved to Canada in 2017, working as a freelance Architectural Drafter and Graphic Designer. In 2021, she relocated to Vancouver, where she worked as a home stager, a role that allowed her to fully embrace her creativity beyond the digital space.

Since then, she has specialized in space planning and interior decorating, merging the precision of an architect with the artistic intuition of a decorator. As an artist, she expresses her vision through minimalist abstract artwork, creating handcrafted pieces that bring depth and texture to any space.

CO-FOUNDER & Project management

ALEJANDRO TONDOLO

Venezuelan Civil Engineer with extensive experience in construction and craftsmanship. He moved to Canada in 2012, where his first role as a carpenter ignited a deep passion for hands-on work. His dedication and technical expertise led him to advance through the industry, taking on roles as a Project Coordinator, Field Engineer, and Construction Supervisor.

In 2021, Alejandro relocated to Vancouver alongside his partner, Mercedes Diaz, co-founding Atelier 758. This venture seamlessly combines his construction expertise with Mercedes' artistic vision, resulting in meticulously crafted, minimalist abstract artworks. Alejandro hand-builds each frame from locally sourced BC oak, ensuring that every piece reflects the perfect balance of precision and artistry.
